Point of view: You are a Catholic bride or groom, getting married in the next year or so, and you value your faith as a huge part of your wedding and marriage to come.
Now what?
There are so many things “screaming” for your attention as you plan your big day, not to mention preparing your heart for the amazing vocation of matrimony ahead. So where do you start? You may already have a start but its likely that if you’re looking for a photographer, you’ve got an idea of what you are looking for. You may have details such as where the mass will be, where the reception will be held, what priest is saying your wedding mass, and who might be in your bridal party figured out. Now, you have to choose one of the more important aspects of your day: your photographer.
Regardless of what style of photography you want for your big day, your photographer will be with you ALL. DAY. LONG. Even if you want a documentary style approach with minimal poses and lots of candid shots, your photographer is going to be hyping you up and spending the day by your side. This makes your photographer one of the most essential choices you have to make, especially for your Catholic wedding.
It is a unique privilege to be Catholic and have the knowledge of the importance of the Catholic Mass. From the vows, to the sign of peace, and onto the consecration and reception of the Eucharist, there are so many critical moments to appreciate.
So, do yourself a favor and find someone to capture photos for your day who innately understands the deep meaning and truth of the Mass. Choose a Catholic photographer who holds the mass as the highest part of your day, just as you do!
